Weather has always been a passion of mine. One of the things about amateur radio is that you can integrate all kinds of interests! My weather station is a La Crosse Technologies 2310. It measures outdoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure, wind direction and speed, and rainfall. One day I will own a higher end station, but this is a good starter package. I use Weather-Display to collect and record my weather data. I highly recommend this program. It has more bells and whistles than you will probably ever use. You can see some of the program's capabilities with my weather information by clicking on "Weather Conditions" on the navigation bar. If you prefer APRS information, the weather station is connected to the APRS-IS network using my call sign: KC0IKU I supplement my weather station data with other software programs. InterWARN keeps me informed of the latest National Weather Service products for my county and region. StormLab 4.0 Supercharged is a great radar program. I also have cell phone SMS feed of current watches and warnings by using StormNow.I told you I was interested in weather!
